Curbside Donation Event – May 21 & 27, 2011

Who: Residents of Old Town & Calvert Hills

Single family homes between Albion and Norwich, and east of Rt. 1 to Columbia

When: May 21 (Saturday) & May 27 (Friday) - set out items by 10:00am!

Where: Curbside at your address - the donation truck will come to you!

What to donate: Anything reusable in good condition!

Appliances (functioning)Art suppliesBooks CDs, DVDs Clothes

Closet organizers & shelving Furniture (intact pieces only!) Games

Kitchen items (dishes, etc.) Linens, blankets, curtains, towels

School supplies (backpacks, etc.) Sporting equipment

NO mattresses, couches, or other upholstered furniture! 

Unopened/unused cleaning supplies, toiletries, and non-perishable food will be collected separately for donation to a local shelter.

How to donate:

1. Call or email Stacey (240-487-3593; sking@collegeparkmd.gov) with your address, donation day (May 21 or 27) and items you wish to donate. Schedule a day in advance!

2. Bag your donations, mark them ‘for donation’ and set at the curb by 10:00 am – keep separated from trash items.

3. Keep unopened cleaning supplies, toiletry items and non-perishable food separate.

Important! – The driver has final discretion on whether or not to accept the item(s) you have set out. Proper disposal of items not accepted for donation will be your responsibility.
